St. Paul's Purpose Statement
The purpose of this congregation shall be to worship and praise God, to share the good news of Christ's love with all people, to realize Christian fellowship and unity within this congregation and with other members of the body of Christ, and to strive for righteousness, justice, and peace in God's world.
Statement of Faith
-
We believe the scriptures of the old and new testaments to be the inspired Word of God.
-
We believe in one God, creator of all things, infinitely perfect, and eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We believe that Jesus, being true God and true man, was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, was crucified dead and buried, was raised on the third day, ascended into heaven, and is seated at the right hand of God.
-
We believe that the Holy Spirit is given to all believers in Christ, for regeneration and to indwell, guide, instruct, and empower the Christian for godly living and service.
-
We believe that man was created in the image of God and that this distinction is unique to the human race.
-
We believe that the shed blood of Jesus Christ and his resurrection provide the only grounds for justification and salvation.
-
We believe that water baptism and the Lord's Supper are ordinances to be observed by the church during the present age. However, they are not a means of salvation because salvation is through faith.
-
We believe that the church is composed of all persons, everywhere, who belong to the Lord through saving faith in Jesus Christ.
-
We believe that Jesus Christ is the Lord and head of the church and that every local church has the right and obligation under Christ to decide and govern its own affairs.
-
We believe in the personal and imminent return of our Lord Jesus Christ.
-
We believe in the bodily resurrection of the dead, of the believer to everlasting blessedness, of the unbeliever to everlasting punishment.

We use the New American Standard Bible and The New International Version as translations of choice. We also encourage members to read from the KJV, NKJV, ESV and HCSB.
